Prof Romita Ray co-organized a panel on Animals and Empire with prof Holly Shaffer (Brown University) for the annual North American Conference on British Studies (NACBS) held recently in Providence, RI. Prof Ann Colley (SUNY Buffalo) chaired the panel and Christopher Geissler (Atlanta) was the official commentator. Together with prof Nancy Jacobs (Brown), profs Shaffer and Ray also organized a special Object Study session with rare books and prints in conjunction with their panel in the John Hay Library at Brown. Here they are with prof Colley standing behind some of the objects chosen by prof Ray.
