Congratulations to prof Sydney Hutchinson who has been awarded the 2017 Herndon Book Prize which is awarded by the Society for Ethnomusicology's Gender and Sexuality Task Force. This prize is given annually in recognition of the best monograph-length "ethnomusicological work in gender and sexuality including, but not limited to, works that focus upon lesbian, gay, bisexual, two-spirited, homosexual, transgendered and multiple gender issues and communities."
