Dr. Sevinç Türkkan has received the competitive Engaged Humanities Network Grant in support of her community-engaged teaching and learning project that brings together students in her WRT 114 and learners at the North Side Learning Center around a collaborative translation project. The goal of this project is to create a digital archive of collaborative translations and narratives of cross-cultural exchange: “In a competitive pool of submissions, [Dr. Türkkan’s project] stood out for its commitment to collaborative, community-engaged learning, knowledge creation, and storytelling through translation.”
