Katie Pelkey is a first-year MFA student in poetry at Syracuse University. Her poems reexamine and reinvigorate everyday experiences and invite readers to embrace the poetry living among us. She is fascinated by unfathomable entities: the human mind, mental illness, the parameters of art, and has thus taken an interest in AI-generated poetry and its impacts on creativity as we know it. She earned her MA in English from Boston College where she also taught freshman-year composition and holds a BA from the University of Connecticut. Her poetry has been featured most recently in River and South Review. During the growing season, you can find her in the garden.
