Writing Center Bio

Telsha L. Curry is a 4th-year Ph.D. student in Composition and Cultural Rhetoric (CCR) at Syracuse University (SU). Having previously worked as a part-time writing instructor in the Department of English and part-time writing consultant in the Bierce Writing Commons at The University of Akron (UA), she began serving the Department of Writing Studies, Rhetoric, and Composition at SU as a teaching assistant in fall, 2016. Curry has taught both WRT 105 and 205 at SU and now serves as a writing consultant in The Writing Center. She holds an M.A. in English (concentration in Composition Studies), a B.A. in English (concentration in Literary Studies), a graduate certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL), a certificate in Linguistic Studies, and a minor in Spanish from UA. Curry was a 2015-16 recipient of the Syracuse University African American Studies Fellowship, the Associate Editor of Studies in Writing and Rhetoric (2016-2017), under the editorial leadership of Steve Parks, and still works with the national writing series as the Liaison to the Board.
