Community Folk Art Center to Present Ben Williams April 22

Grammy Award-winning artist and music educator will perform April 22

Grammy Award-winning artist Ben Williams will perform on April 22 at 6:30 p.m. at Syracuse University’s Community Folk Art Center’s (CFAC) Evening of Jazz and Wine.

This New York City artist is an acclaimed bassist, music educator, and composer who has performed with the likes of Wynton Marsalis, George Benson, Pat Metheny and Chaka Khan. Williams won his first Grammy Award with the Pat Metheny Unity Band for Best Jazz Instrumental Album of 2012. He recently peformed the infectious tune “Happy” with Pharrell Williams and Herbie Hancock at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood; and recently completed his film debut with Don Cheadle in the upcoming movie “Miles Ahead.”
