Ph.D. in Psychology

We are home to four graduate programs, each leading to a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.):

  • Clinical Psychology
  • Cognitive Psychology
  • School Psychology
  • Social Psychology

Is a Ph.D. in psychology right for you?

Our graduate programs combine classroom instruction and advanced seminar participation with innovative faculty research. We also expose you to the theoretical and methodological foundations of psychology, with emphasis on quantitative analysis. Along the way, we encourage you to publish the results of your work in peer-reviewed journals and to present your findings at scientific conferences.

We support you with teaching assistantships, clinical assistantships, research assistantships or University-level fellowships.

“Our faculty of distinguished psychologists is known for the highest achievement in research; a strong commitment to teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels; and active engagement in community, school and medical settings.”
