Departmental statement
The Biology Department at Syracuse University is committed to creating a diverse, equitable, inclusive and accessible environment for all. We firmly believe that diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility are integral to achieving excellence in teaching, scholarship and service. As a department, we commit to advancing inclusive and equitable departmental initiatives and policies to increase the representation and success of marginalized groups in our faculty, staff and student body. We also commit to working collaboratively with the wider university
community to accomplish these same goals throughout Syracuse University.
