Scott Manning Stevens, citizen of the Akwesasne Mohawk Nation and associate professor of English and director of both the Native American and Indigenous Studies program and Center for Global Indigenous Cultures and Environmental Justice, was a guest on Connect NY, a local public television program presented by WCNY.
Stevens and three other panelists examined issues facing Indigenous peoples in New York State, including ongoing struggles to recover land and challenges with health care.
