Biographic Overview

Byungsam joined the Department of Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics in 2023. He is teaching beginning and intermediate-level Russian language classes and an upper-level course in photojournalism in Russia.

Research Interests

Byungsam’s research ranges from early nineteenth through twentieth-century Russian literature and culture, with broader interests in visual culture, media studies, theory, technological history, and interdisciplinary approaches to the study of literature.
