André Habet (CCR Alum) has been chosen for a post-doc at the University of West Indies as a Senior Research Assistant to support the implementation of a research and advocacy project: Disaster Capitalism in the Caribbean Region (DCCR): Networking, Sharing and Learning from Community Responses, funded by the Open Society Foundations. "The project will identify, map cases and bring together (digitally and otherwise) diverse Caribbean communities associations, NGOs and activist groups that have been organizing and resisting against the expansion of ‘disaster capitalism’ in the region. In particular, it relies on four pillars: identification, communication, visibility and construction of stronger and long-lasting networks (beyond English speaking language group."
