Congratulations to Stephanie Jones, who has successfully defended her dissertation, with distinction. Stephanie’s dissertation is titled “Afrofuturist Feminism as Theory & Praxis: Rhetorical Root Working in the Black Speculative Arts Movement,” and her committee consisted of Professors Gwendolyn Pough (Chair), Eileen Schell, Collin Brooke, Samantha Blackmon (Purdue), and Jacqueline Jones Royster (Georgia Tech). Professor Marcelle Haddix served as chair of the defense.
