Mock Trial

Syracuse University Mock Trial is a program through the College of Arts and Sciences in partnership with College of Law faculty. Through participation in the undergraduate mock trial course, students will gain skills relevant for future lawyers, as well as communication, research, and analytical skills important across majors and professions. Students enrolled in the course may have the opportunity to travel and participate in trial competitions as members of Syracuse University's official Mock Trial competition team.
All undergraduate students are eligible to enroll and participate in the course.
During the fall semester, students develop skills associated with trial work through CAS 200: Mock Trial – Trial Advocacy. Spring semester allows students to explore the process and practice associated with legal disputes through CAS 200: Mock Trial – Litigation Skills. One course is not a pre-requisite to the other. This two-credit course meets twice weekly in the College of Law. Questions can be directed to prelaw@syr.edu.
