Senior Megan Hu's ground-breaking research on Spanish-language Theater and Social Justice was recognized at the highest level when she received the Chancellor's Citation for Excellence in Undergraduate Research in May 2020. The award “is intended for students who have, during their time at Syracuse, engaged in collaborative research that has the potential to make a deep and lasting impact on the greater society.” Megan was also awarded one of two inaugural undergraduate student research awards in the Department of Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics. Megan's research has been essential to the PICS (Performing Identities Across Cultures) research strand of Language Matters.
