Christopher Brunt is a poet, fiction writer, and essayist whose work appears in Ploughshares, Oxford American, Fugue, Meridian, Copper Nickel, and other magazines. His work has been chosen as a finalist for the St. Lawrence Book Award, the Marsh Hawk Poetry Prize, and the Christopher Smart Prize. With a passion for undergraduate teaching, his courses are interdisciplinary in nature, ranging in topic and approach from medical humanities and addiction studies, to classical antiquity and world literature, to creative writing and theater. He has a PhD in English from the University of Southern Mississippi and an MFA in Creative Writing from Syracuse University.
