Chivonne Munroe is a first-year master’s student in the Pan African Studies program in the African American Studies Department. Prior to arriving at Syracuse University, she earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the University of the West Indies, Mona in Jamaica. Her research interests include examining mental health issues in the Black community and investigating the influence of racialized and gendered stereotypes on Black women’s self-perception.
