Carlos is a PhD student. He received his B.A. and M.A. in Philosophy at Universidad de Los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia. His interests are mainly in 19th and 20th century continental philosophy, contemporary political thought, and Latin American liberation theologies and decolonial thought. He’s particularly interested in researching the Christian genealogies and undertones of capitalist temporalities. With this research, he hopes to set a theoretical framework that highlights how specific discourses and practices—particularly aesthetic and political—operate in/on time, thus interacting with, reinforcing, or interrupting the capitalist timescape.
