I am interested in metamorphic petrology and New England tectonics. Specifically, I am studying the petrogenesis of a partially serpentinized dunite located in Southern Vermont. This ultramafic body was once part of the Earth’s upper mantle and was obducted to the Laurentian Margin during the Taconic Orogeny. My interests also include high pressure metamorphism and the role of serpentinite during exhumation of high pressure rocks such as blueschist and eclogite.
