Ahmet, began the PhD program at Syracuse in 2017. His research focuses on the relationship between law and politics in Islamic history and particularly Ottoman 16 century. His master thesis was the analysis of 16 century Ottoman legal-political thought and some practices of government. Studying on manuscripts, for a while, enabled him to advance in Ottoman Turkish and Arabic.
