Anne Leone teaches medieval Italian literature and culture. Her most recent book Dante's Blood (Legenda, 2023) investigates intersections between theological, metaliterary and scientific/medical concerns in Dante’s works. Other research interests include issues relating to gender, contraception, Nature and ecology in medieval culture. She earned her BA from Yale College, and her doctorate from the University of Cambridge where she was a Gates Scholar. Prior to joining the Department of Languages, Literatures and Linguistics at SU, she taught at the University of Notre Dame.
