Biographic Overview

Teresa Ott is an American-Canadian poet. She is the recipient of the 2023 Joyce Carol Oates Award in Poetry, the 2022 Poetry London Prize and a 2021 Canada Council for the Arts grant. She has been a finalist for the Moth Poetry Prize and the Iowa Review Award, and twice nominated for a Pushcart Prize. Her work has been published in literary magazines in the US, Canada, Ireland and the UK. Her poems have appeared in Poetry London, the Alaska Quarterly Review, New Letters, the Missouri Review, the Moth, the Fiddlehead and elsewhere. She was born in York, Pennsylvania, and currently resides in Toronto and Syracuse.
