Congratulations to art history alum Kate Clarke Lemay whose exhibition, "Votes for Women: A Portrait of Persistence" was recently reviewed in the New York Times. Kate earned her B.A. degree in art history and French at SU. She is now a historian at the National Portrait Gallery in Washington D.C. Kate is also the director of PORTAL = Portraiture + Analysis, the Portrait Gallery’s center for scholarly studies, and the coordinating curator for the Smithsonian American Women’s History Initiative.
