First Year Students' Guide to Course Selection

Welcome to The College of Arts and Sciencse! Advising and Academic Support has designed a guide to assist you in using The College's onlnie course selection system, the First Term Enrollment Selections (FTES.) We strongly recommend that you read the guide, "Got Questions? A Guide to Navigating The College of Arts and Sciences Online Course Selection System" before making course selections for Fall 2013 in FTES. FTES is available beginning May 28, 2013 under Student Services on myslice.syr.edu. Selecting your first-term courses will consist of the following steps:

• Review "Got Questions"
• Watch the First Term Enrollment Video Tutorials
• Complete each page of FTES and save all entries
• Speak with a Summer Advisor from The College
• Submit your finalized FTES by the June 21st deadline
