    Anne Leone teaches medieval Italian literature and culture. Her current research project investigates the issue of blood in Dante and medieval culture. Other research interests include Dante’s treatment of female figures, the issue of nature in medieval culture, and intersections between theological, metaliterary and medical issues in Dante’s works. She earned her BA from Yale College, and her doctorate from the University of Cambridge where she was a Gates Scholar. Prior to joining the Department of Languages, Literatures and Linguistics at SU, she taught at the University of Notre Dame.
