    John Pugh is an instructor of English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). John's teaching experiences are various in terms of their locations and subject matter, ranging from teaching English for Academic Purposes (EAP) in Shanghai, China to teaching grammar and writing in Taipei, Taiwan. He also taught at West Virginia University's Intensive English program and has collaborated with SUNY Cobleskill to create and implement curriculum for students in China. Currently, he teaches undergraduate and graduate level courses in the ESOL program at Syracuse University. John's experiences traveling and living abroad have assisted him in dealing with students who come to Syracuse from all over the world. Being an advisor in the College of Arts and Sciences for freshman international students and creating language exchange events are some of the ways that travel has enriched and improved his professional acumen.
