Samantha Herrick

Research Interests: My research focuses on how medieval authors imagined saints of much earlier eras, and particularly how and why they posited claims to apostolic foundation, mainly in hagiography of medieval Normandy and southern France. I am also interested in questions of memory, literacy, power, and religious rivalry.
