Anthony Blog #4

It feels good to be back! After a month-long break back in Miami, I am finally ready to start the second half of my sophomore year here in ‘Cuse. For the most part, my break consisted of hanging out with my family and friends, watching a lot of football (unfortunately, the Dolphins didn’t make it pas the first round of the playoffs, but that’s okay), and getting lots of well-deserved sleep. On one awesome day, Syracuse University students that were in South Florida got together on South Beach to have a “Syracuse Get-Together”. That day was a blast. I even met some of the incoming students that had just been accepted.

This semester, though, should be a blast. I’m taking three geography courses (i.e., I’m going to be reading and writing a lot), one TRF course, and one writing studio course. At the moment, I’m kind of on the fence about dropping a course because of the sheer amount of reading and writing I’m going to have to do, but I’m going to talk to one of my professors to see what my options are. I’m especially excited about one of my geo courses, “Race and Space”, even though I know it’s going to be difficult to read and digest all of those theoretical and geographical concepts about race. I’m predicting an awesome semester.

Yours truly,

P.S. The weather here has been pretty mild so far. Nothing too extreme. Up until today, it hadn’t snowed since my arrival.
