Discover Atlanta – Application Deadline: Sunday, April 1st 2018

Atlanta is often referred to as the “Jewel of the South.” But did you know it also bleeds Orange? That's right. Atlanta is home to THOUSANDS of Syracuse University alumni! And they want you to apply for participation in the Discover Atlanta Program.
This all-expenses-paid, three-day immersion program enables you to meet with industry leaders and alumni from various Fortune 500 companies in Atlanta: Google, Turner Broadcasting, Coca-Cola, Georgia-Pacific, Eric Mower + Associates, SunTrust Bank, 100 Black Men of Atlanta and more!
Discover Atlanta is designed exclusively for A&S students, regardless of major, and only 12-14 are going to be selected to participate.  Trip dates for 2018 areTuesday, May 22nd through Thursday, May 24th. The application deadline is Sunday, April 1st.

Newell W. Rossman, Jr. Scholarships in the Humanities

March 2, 2018

Eligibility: Current Sophomores and Juniors (who will be juniors and seniors in Fall 2018) who have declared majors in programs within the Humanities Division. Students must have at least a 3.4 cumulative grade point average at Syracuse University at the time of nomination.

Award: Awards will be in the amount of up to 50 percent of current tuition for the following academic year.

Deborah A. Coquillon Memorial Award

March 2, 2018

Eligibility: Students fulfilling graduation requirements in December 2017, May 2018, or August 2018 may apply. Although there is no established minimum, a current cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above is encouraged. Students with lower GPAs may be considered if they provide a very strong personal statement.

Award: $1,500.

Summer Health Professions Education Program: Apply December 1-February 15

The Summer Health Professions Education Program (SHPEP) is a free summer enrichment program focusing on improving access to information and resources for college students interested in the health professions. SHPEP's goal is to strengthen the academic proficiency and career development of students underrepresented in the health professions. 2018 Gateways to the Laboratory Summer Program: Deadline February 1

February 1, 2018
Applications for the 2018 Gateways to the Laboratory Summer Program for Pre-MD-PhD students are now being accepted.
The Gateways to the Laboratory Program eligibility requirements include:
  • Freshman and sophomores (at time of application) only;
  • Underrepresented minority students or have a disability;
  • US Citizens/Permanent Residents;
  • Students who wish to pursue the combined MD-PhD degrees after college.

Project Healthcare summer volunteer program: Apply now through January 7

Project Healthcare (PHC) is an immersive summer volunteer program affiliated wtih the Ronald O. Perelman Department of Emergency Medicine and Bellevue Hospital. The program is available to undergraduate, graduate, recent graduates (within 2 years) and post-baccalaureate students interested in healthcare.  PHC offers a comprehensive view into emergency medicine. Health Career Connection Internship Program: Deadline December 20

Undergraduate and recent graduates with career interests in healthcare and public health are invited to apply for the Health Career Connection (HCC) Summer 2018 Internship Program. HCC interns are placed in full-time roles with organizations such as hospitals, health systems, health policy institutes, health departments, community health centers, community-based organizations and non-profits. The internship is a paid, 10-week internship program. Please note, clinical or medical insternships are not offered. Visit the HCC website for more information.
